Bridges of Color - Universal American School (UAS), deadline by the end of March: This international school in Dubai has found a way to connect with schools in around the world through “Bridges of Color”. The aim of this project is to reach out to friends and loved ones across the globe to send us knitting and crochet made from 100% Acrylic wool (that can be used outdoors). Once they have received many pieces made by different hands in different corners of the world, they will connect them together and stretch them through spaces at the school as a symbol of the ties that a global community is capable of building despite the difference and the distances. This project is open to everyone. Students, parents, grandparents, teachers, friends and acquaintances. Whoever wants to knit or crochet or wants to learn these skills is invited. Click here to view the promotional video. They hope to receive the pieces by the end of March and put up the installations during the month of April. For more information, visit their website
