Welcome

The High School offers a comprehensive program of academic courses.

Students study a range of subjects and earn credits in English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Human Understanding, Modern Languages, Physical Education and Health, IT, Fine or Performing Arts, and electives. The High School Diploma is awarded when the graduation requirements are met by attending four years of High School from Grades 9 through 12 and acquiring a minimum of 24 credits covering all the subject areas. Our Course Selection Overview Guide explains the distribution of credits required.

Courses are offered at a range of levels. Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses represent our most challenging academic level, and these courses are well recognized by universities world wide.

Students are guided into the program that best meets their needs. The options are to:
  • Follow a path of study that leads to a full International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
  • Take some IB classes, and gain IB Certificates for those courses
  • Take Advanced Placement (AP) courses, which may provide credit at US universities
  • Take a mix of IB and AP courses
  • Take the standard courses to achieve the ASH High School Diploma.
Our experienced team help students and parents decide on their course of study during their high school careers, and provide support and advice. We also have a Learning Skills Center, whose staff assist students needing need extra support in mainstream classes.
