Learning Outside The Classroom: Preschool Museum Visit

Our youngest learners at the Early Childhood Center were able to expand their classroom walls while on an educational field trip to the Kinderboekenmuseum in The Hague. This interactive museum brings books to life and allows the children to engage with characters from stories that they have read about at school or at home. How exciting would it be for a 3 or 4-year-old, who has just read about a fun character like Kikker The Frog, then gets to see him come to life, before their very eyes? Imaginations will run wild, along with hopefully a passion for reading - which was the purpose of the visit; to encourage the youngest ASH students in their love of literacy. It was a magical visit, full of smiles, laughter and shared discovery.
