ASH Student Musicians Perform at Disney Paris

Again this year, American School of The Hague (ASH) High School Band and Choir students participated in the Disney Paris Performing Arts Program last weekend in Paris. As part of this program, students received backstage access to the Disney Production Studios where they participated in two simultaneously held workshops in musical theater and instrumental music performance. The visit culminated in public performances in the park on the Videopolis Stage.

Since 1995, the Disney Performing Arts Program team has been working exclusively with ASH in developing music workshop programs for our students. In total, 59 ASH musicians participated in this year’s Disney workshop led by High School Band Director Jim Yarnell and High School Choir Director Idan Goldwasser, and accompanied by Middle School Choir Teacher David Jimenez.

The Disney Performing Arts Program Director commended ASH students for their thirst for learning and passion for music. Well done to all musicians who participated in this unique learning opportunity and a special thank you to Mr. Loy, High School University Guideance Director, Paola Lopez, High School Spanish Teacher and John Mugno, High School Science Teacher, for seeing through this successful collaboration with Disney.
