Our own school environment provides several opportunities for students of all ages to volunteer. Here is a short sample of some of the service learning or community engagement activities that are taking place in the school:
- PTO Community Outreach, a parent committee that is involved in helping our community
- Assisting in Elementary or Special Education classrooms
- High School Tutors are available to tutor younger children
- CAS students help the PTO with the organization of the annual International Festival
- Grade 4 students every year set up their own "Agents of Change" service projects
- Middle School students participate in the Roots & Shoots or Fair Trade clubs
- High School students participate in a variety of awareness raising clubs, including MSF (Doctors without Borders), SAFE (Students Alliance For Equality), Human Writes, etc.
- Students of all ages volunteer in the school garden
- Grade 3 students organize several campus clean ups throughout the school year
- High School students work as volunteers at the after school Croco Club
- High School students organize a school wide collection of toys and school supplies called Operation Shoebox (part of Edukans, a national Dutch initiative)
