ASH (est.1953) is one of the most established international schools in the Netherlands. We are a private, not-for-profit institution that, at every level of organization, focuses on enhancing the student learning experience. From Pre-Kindergarten through High School graduation, we encourage ASH students to take control of their own learning. ASH is the only school in the Netherlands offering both AP and IB, and a full-inclusion program of support and enrichment. ASH students consistently outperform global averages, and supported by our dedicated College Counseling Office, they find their way into esteemed institutions of higher education across the globe. ASH is accredited by NEASC, founded on the principle that self-reflection and candid feedback are essential to ongoing educational success.

“Being a critical thinker means to use your thinking process and be aware of the different aspects that make you think a certain way. And then apply that thinking process in a real-life situation, and ask yourself questions about what’s happening in the world.”
-Lucille, student
“When I came to ASH in first grade I didn’t know how to read and speak English. My teachers helped me to learn English, and how to read and write. I made many best friends.”
-Jun, student
"This teacher made sure that all the students got to show what they know in the best way they could. Now, I like to ask teachers if I can do something else, because I know how to show my learning best."
-Addison, student
