After our Admissions Committee reviews your child’s application, our Admissions team will inform you of the Committee’s decision.

The ASH school year consists of two semesters: the first semester starts in mid-August and the second semester in mid-January. We accept applications throughout the year and offer places to students if space is available and upon qualification for admission.

To ensure course availability, we recommend that high school students enroll either at the beginning of the school year or at the beginning of the second semester in January. We only accept grade 12 students for an entire year, not a partial year.

If we are unable to offer a place for the desired start date, we encourage you to keep in touch with the Admissions team if you wish to re-apply for either the following semester or next school year.

As a co-educational school with a diverse student population representing a range of nationalities, languages, cultures and abilities, ASH seeks to offer educational opportunities to all eligible students who identify with our school’s core values: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Empathy, and Communication. To understand the grade for which your child will be considered, review our Student Placement Guide. We base final grade placements on the application materials and current school system.

For students applying to start in the new school year in mid-August, we offer a limited number of available spaces as early as February, with the bulk of the offers made from April to June. We continue to offer places as they become available right up to the start of the school year. For students applying for the January semester, we start to offer places as soon as our families notify us that they are leaving mid-year. This can occur anytime between September and January.

We recommend that students start school with their peers in August or at the start of the second semester in January. However, we understand that families relocate throughout the school year and depending on space availability, we do admit students mid-semester and always work hard to make these transitions as smooth as possible.

We build a better world as we become better human beings, hear and value every voice, keep every promise, and celebrate every achievement.

We are determined to create a school where everyone is confident and able to take control of their own learning, and the world is our classroom.
