THE ADVANCED PLACEMENT PROGRAM
ASH is the only school in the Netherlands to offer College Board Advanced Placement (AP) courses.
The Advanced Placement (AP) Program at American School of The Hague is a modular program that gives students an opportunity to take college-level courses and exams while they are still in high school. Successful completion of AP courses provides students with the opportunity to earn credit and/or advanced placement in many universities. ASH offers as many as 18 AP courses depending upon enrollment.
Unique AP Offerings & Experiences at ASH
ASH is the only international school in the Netherlands offering the AP program, which has been part of our academic program for over 50 years.
AP is recognized by universities in more than 60 countries worldwide - including the Netherlands - as a standard of academic excellence.
Many ASH graduates have earned anywhere from one college credit hour to full second-year standing depending on the number of AP exams taken and the scores earned.
ASH has been educating students for nearly 70 years since its foundation in 1953-1954, with its original buildings located in The Hague.
