ACADEMIC JOURNEY

At ASH, we believe in guiding our students towards the program that best meets their academic needs and best prepares them for a successful future. Our students have the choice to:

  • Take a path of study that leads to a full International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma

  • Take some IB classes, and gain IB Certificates for those courses

  • Take Advanced Placement (AP) courses, which may provide credit at universities in the United States and Europe

  • Take a mix of IB and AP courses

  • Take the standard courses to achieve the ASH High School Diploma

Courses are offered at a range of levels, including the option to take Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses. These represent our most challenging academic level and are highly regarded and recognized qualifications by universities worldwide.

Those who opt for the ASH High School Diploma, which combines International Baccalaureate Certificate courses, Advanced Placement and ASH high school courses as well as other special projects and experiences, go on to also gain acceptance at top universities and colleges around the world. Our high school learners study a range of subjects and earn credits towards their High School Diploma in English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Modern Languages, Physical Education and Health, IT, Fine or Performing Arts, and electives. Students may also combine internships, passion projects or independent learning in their studies.

We also have a dedicated Student Support team of experienced Counseling, Speech and Language and Special Needs staff. This team assists students who may need additional learning support or enrichment in the core subject areas.
