What is the ASH Booster Club?

The Booster Club is a lively parent group that:

  • Promotes activities supporting all ASH athletic programs.
  • Increases awareness of athletic events involving ASH athletes.
  • Provides support for our guest athletes and their host families (bag lunches, team dinners, etc).

The Athletics Booster Club's purpose is to promote school unity and spirit throughout the ASH community. It hopes to achieve this by increasing awareness on campus of athletic events, encouraging attendance at host athletic events and providing support for host families and their guest athletes.

Club activities include raising funds for ASH athletic programs including the sale of concessions. Other activities focus on raising awareness of ASH athletes such as decorating lockers and updating the ASH bulletin boards outside the Sport Hall on a weekly basis. We encourage all to join and help to promote ASH Athletics.

You can help by:

  • Bringing baked goods or fruit,

  • Working at the concession stand during the games (before or after your athlete plays, many time slots available).

It's a wonderful way to support our athletes and to show the team you care. No previous experience necessary, for more information, please contact the Booster Club Coordinator.

Booster Club Terminology

Athletics Booster Clubs are common in American schools, so the idea is very familiar to Americans, but not always to other nationalities. Athletics Booster Clubs are organized groups of parents and other people in the community committed to supporting the athletics programs at their school.

Some terms you will hear:

Concessions: Food and drink sold at school events. Selling refreshments is a great service for the athletes and the spectators, and of course raises money for the athletics program.

Concession Stand: Where refreshments are sold.

Trojan: The ASH Athletics mascot. You will hear shouts of "Go Trojans!" from the sidelines.
