The General Diploma

The General Diploma provides an appropriately challenging and flexible option for students who benefit from substantial learning support and an individualized program. Students will be able to choose from a variety of courses to support their success in reaching individual post-secondary goals and actualizing their potential. One of the main differences between this diploma and the ASH High School Diploma is the number of core credits vs. elective credits (please see the program of studies for more information). It may be possible that students who earn a General Diploma at ASH will not be able to transition into a four-year university directly after high school. It is important to research which options your child is interested in following graduation from ASH and what the requirements are.
