Sharing Experiences and Career Paths with Grade 11 Students
“He explained really well how his job worked overall, and made it engaging to listen about Cybersecuirty.” - Grade 11, ASH student.

Alumni and parents were invited to share their life experiences, career pathways and study choices with our grade 11 students, to help them explore the variety of options available to them in “life after ASH”. Over the course of a 4 week period, students could watch virtual alumni interviews and attend in person panel sessions to hear speakers talk about things that went to plan in study and career choices, or how unexpected turns brought them to new educational paths or career opportunities.

Each week offered different sessions, with a range of study or career topics up for discussion: from STEM based fields to humanitarian work to natural medicine to professional acting, and much more. The grade 11 students could also hear our recent graduates talk about their current study and school choices, tips about living abroad, and how to make their upcoming senior year studies as relevant as possible. Our parents and alumni found it valuable to connect with our students as a supporter in their learning success. “I think it's great that this was organized, to utilize the parent/alumni network and the diversity of experiences and career angles that they can bring.” - ASH parent.

With alumni and parents sharing their careers and study pathway experiences, we aim to guide our grade 11 students in their decisions for the future.
