Omri - Personalized Learning Experience

Meet Omri, Class of 2008 Alumni

“I basically lived in the arts wing of ASH. In my first year, I saw the HS musical production of Fiddler on the Roof, and I knew that I was "home" the moment the stage lights turned on.”

Omri is an award winning writer, actor, and voice actor who hosts the podcast series "Shadow of Truth", and created and co-hosts the new espionage podcast "Spies and Lies".  He joined ASH in 2002 in grade 7 and was here until graduation.

How was your #ASHexperience?
In my senior year, I took 6 arts classes within an 8 block class schedule. Without a doubt, ASH shaped me and gave me the opportunities to learn and grow into who I am and what I do today... providing a base and growing my skill sets which I now use every day in my professional life.

What does #LearningThatMatters mean to you?
I absolutely shaped my learning experience into what I felt and knew would be most relevant and the best path for me. ASH offers so many varied opportunities, and even though there are certain 'expected paths' I'd encourage every student to forge a way that is best for them, making use of the amazing resources and staff ASH has available.

What staff member impacted you the most?
Anthony! Words cannot begin to express how incredible a human being and teacher he is. I am honored to have learned so much from him, been mentored by him, and to now call him a friend. I know I don't speak just for myself when I say that Anthony is of the rare breed of teachers that on a regular basis touches the lives of his students in profound ways that inspires and empowers them, impacting their lives in ways only truly great mentors can, during those impressionable years when it is paramount to have a guiding light, and no light shines brighter than his.

#ASHvoices
We have a diverse community of students, staff, and families from around the world. Each member of our community brings their own story that enriches the #ASHexperience.
