Liam - Recent Graduate

Arriving in seventh grade, Liam believes that ASH has helped to shape the person he is today in many ways. The expat lifestyle is something he never found easy: new friends, teachers, people - it is always somewhat daunting. At ASH, he says he “was actually able to interact with my teachers, ask them questions after class, talk to them, something that helped me personally to excel academically. The counselors, both in middle and high school, stood by me and helped me get back on my feet through difficult times.” Liam credits the support system at ASH for giving him the confidence to join the student senate and subsequently run for the role of co-president. “The expatriate lifestyle is difficult, and each child goes through their own challenges in a new environment, but ASH gave me the tools I need to become comfortable with who I am and strive for the best.”
