Biodiversity Hunt @ Deylerhoeve Campus

Our grade 2 students put on their explorer hats and embarked on an adventure to a mysterious land: ASH’s news campus, the Deylerhoeve. This was a great opportunity for our young learners to put into practice their knowledge about biodiversity, observe nature and document their findings.

“We’re learning about biodiversity in class – it is about plants and animals. We’re doing observations and then we draw close pictures of it and we’re writing details about it.” - Thomas, student

“Drawing has been my favorite part. I’ve learned about plants and animals a lot. I learn better when I am around nature.” - Jules, student

“We came here to look closely at the new campus, to see if there’s a lot of biodiversity and zoom in on specific pieces of nature and sketch what we see. I really like how big the space is and the little lake.” - Bia, student

“I loved being in nature because I could see the landscape, the lilly paths and the water. Biodiversity has to do with plants, animals and ecosystems. Humans need it for medicine, food, shelter.” - Aoife, student
