The Hague Model United Nations (THIMUN) was born in January 1969, from the ASH International Political Association (IPA), a forum that brought together students from all over Europe to exchange ideas relevant to current social and political topics.
Every year, nearly 100 of our own high school students take part either as a delegate or an administrative team member. In recent years, THIMUN has brought together nearly 3,000 students and teachers from over 200 schools around the globe, a 5 day-Model United Nations simulation filled with political debates and diplomatic challenges, with student cooperation at its core 🌎 In its history, people like Queen Beatrix and King Willem Alexander have attended in support of this long-standing and impactful event.
THIMUN 2024, with this year’s theme being “Peace, Law & Justice” 🕊️ Stay tuned for updates!
