ASH70 on this day: Tradition of Santa Lucia
Santa Lucia has once again charmed the halls of ASH for the 33rd time since 1990. Celebrating Santa Lucia started when then-student Carin Sjölin (Class of 1991) had the wish to celebrate her home tradition of Santa Lucia with her friends and classmates at ASH.
Every December since then, all Scandinavian students gather in white gowns and sing songs referencing Lucia; the bearer of light in the dark Swedish winters.
