ASH Robotics Triumphs: Teams Advance to World Championship and European Premier Event!
Last Saturday, ASH’s Robotics Teams – The Flying Dutchman 23014 and Trojans 24090 – competed and triumphed at the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Benelux Championship. Among other prestigious awards and prizes, The Flying Dutchman 23014 won the champion title and earned a coveted spot at the FTC World Championship in Houston, Texas this April!

Held at Avans University of Applied Sciences, the event celebrated teamwork, innovation, and technological ingenuity, bringing together the top 24 teams from the Benelux region. Both The Flying Dutchman 23014 and Trojans 24090 made a powerful impact, impressing the judges and showcasing their engineering expertise, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

After an intense morning of rigorous inspections and final preparations, the teams embarked on a full day of competitions that led them to victory. The Flying Dutchman, serving as an Alliance Captain, demonstrated exceptional leadership and skill, ultimately securing the title of FTC Benelux Championships Winning Alliance Captain. Their judged success and team efforts earned them the prestigious Inspire Award—the highest judged award—along with €1250 in sponsorships from Gene Haas. Most notably, their victory secured a place at the 2025 FIRST World Championship in April in Houston, Texas, where 50,000 participants from around the world will gather to celebrate STEM and innovation.

Trojans 24090 also delivered an outstanding performance, claiming 3rd Alliance Captain, reaching the semifinals, and winning the Think Award, the second-highest judged award, which recognizes a team's journey through the engineering design process. Their achievements also secured them a spot in the first FTC European Premier Event, where 96 teams from 52 countries will compete in Eindhoven in July.

We warmly congratulate our teams on their achievements, and we look forward to supporting their continued success in the competitions ahead!
