The ASH Class of 2020 will graduate like no other class of seniors before in the history of our school. This year’s seniors have faced a number of challenges completing their final year here at ASH due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They have shown maturity beyond their years, and have met these challenges head-on, we are so incredibly proud of this graduating class. Everyone on at ASH was determined to honor this class and ensure that a graduation ceremony could still take place while keeping safety guidelines and social distancing practices at the forefront of planning for this.
This year’s graduation takes place on Saturday, June 6. The ceremony will lean on the virtual elements that have served our community so well during this time of lockdown, and will ensure that our seniors are honored as they should be. Our graduating seniors will attend the ceremony on campus in groups of up to 30 students across four different locations to ensure social distancing. Different parts of the ceremony will be hosted live in each location with synchronous streaming available at all four locations. To allow family and friends near and far to support our seniors and be there in spirit, the ceremony livestream will be available on our website. Part of the graduation tradition is to take the treasured cap and gown photos a few weeks before the actual ceremony takes place. Again, this time honored custom was one that everyone was determined to ensure for our graduating class of 2020. Parent and staff volunteers set up a green screen alongside the graduation regalia made available to wear for this unique and unforgettable socially distanced photoshoot! With a little bit of magic and thanks to Mr. Pilk’s photo editing expertise our 2020 graduates have a cap and gown ‘class’ photo!
As we count down the days until the 2020 graduation ceremony, let's enjoy this class of 2020 montage in this age of social distancing A big thank you to all our volunteers and students who made this happen!
