ASH Athletics: ISST & NECIS 2023
“We are proud of all of our Trojans.”

The fall season for International School Sports Tournaments (ISST) and North Western European Council of International Schools (NECIS) has just ended. Representing soccer, volleyball, tennis, and cross country, our 14 teams participated in competitions against several international schools across Europe.

Our teams traveled to Munich, Vienna, Paris, Frankfurt, Zurich, Brussels and Copenhagen for the tournaments, while ASH hosted ISST Boys Varsity Soccer and JV Girls Volleyball respectively. Among the many highlights here:

- Oliver in Cross Country broke a new course ISST record with an outstanding performance
- The JV Girls and Varsity Girls Volleyball teams both brought home Championship Trophies
- The JV Boys Volleyball took 6th, and won the Sportsmanship Award
- The Varsity Boys soccer team battled through the wind and rain, but despite all the challenges they faced, they made it to an exciting final to end in second place

But the tournaments and competitions are only the peak of the iceberg. Throughout the season, our athletes showed great teamwork, determination, and discipline in sharpening their skills during practice. Through collaboration with their teammates and coaches, our athletes continue to meet new standards and build resilience for the games and tournaments to come.

“The culmination of our fall ISSTs & NECIS tournaments were a combined mix of sweat, passion, and perseverance. These end-of-season tournaments were the grand finale where champions were forged and memories were etched in the heart of all of our Trojans regardless of their team's final standing.” Rosemary, ASH Athletics Director
