Trojan Robotics Heads to World Championships in Houston
ASH Robotics Team “Trojan Robotics” Heads to World Championships in Houston Trojan Robotics are on their way to the world robotics championships in Houston, Texas. Hosted by FIRST, the most established youth robotics program in the world, this is the culminating event of the STEM season, where students who have qualified through international competitions compete at the highest level.

This year, 342 teams will take part in the world championships, showcasing robots designed, built, and programmed for the DECODE game. In this challenge, teams build robots to collect, sort, and launch balls into high-goal structures. The game tests engineering and coding skills, accuracy and pattern matching, as robots score within 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

Our robotics teachers and coaches have highlighted the dedication and focus of Trojan Robotics this season. They noted that through their impressive consistency, effort, and shared passion, they have earned their place at this highly competitive global event. In fact, unity and teamwork, as Mr. Pratt shared,”has helped increase unity of goals immensely, and as such, their progress as a team”. Since September, students have worked intensively to refine their designs and push performance to its limits.

In February, ASH also hosted the FIRST Tech Challenge Benelux Championships, welcoming nearly 600 students across 48 robotics teams from the Netherlands and across Europe. All three ASH teams – Trojan Robotics, The Flying Dutchman, and StroopTech – competed at the Benelux Championships, with Trojan Robotics earning a spot at the World Championships in Houston, The Flying Dutchman for European Championships in June, and Strooptech qualifying for regionals.
