The Class of 2026 has celebrated an exceptional year of academic achievement, with outstanding results across both the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) programs.

 

Reflecting on the results, High School Principal David Munro said, “ASH has had another exemplary year with our AP and IB results. Students met or exceeded our expectations in most areas. Their dedication and critical thinking shone through in a wide range of metrics.”

 

Our IB students achieved an average score of 35 points, outperforming the global average of 30.88. Particularly impressive, three students achieved 44 out of 45 points, a result attained by only around 1.5% of the global IB cohort.

 

Our AP students also achieved remarkable results, with 95% of the cohort scoring 3 or above. This compares favourably with global AP results, where the percentage achieving a 3 or higher typically ranges between 60% and 75%, depending on the year.

 

These strong results are already translating into exciting next steps. Members of the Class of 2026 have received offers from leading institutions including the University of Amsterdam, Erasmus University Rotterdam, TU Delft and Leiden University, as well as Stanford University, the University of Pennsylvania and Berklee College of Music. In the UK, destinations include the University of Cambridge, University of Edinburgh, University of Bath and University of Manchester, alongside international choices such as Lund University, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Waseda University and EHL.

 

At ASH, students have the opportunity to pursue either the AP or IB pathway, selecting the program and structure that best supports their individual strengths, interests and future goals. Both are academically rigorous programs, widely recognised by universities around the world. With students pursuing fields ranging from engineering and computer science to medicine, international business, political science, theatre and stage management, the Class of 2026 is taking its achievements confidently onto the next stage of its journey.
