For Laura Brown, Assistant Secondary School Principal at American School of The Hague (ASH), learning is an ongoing process of questioning, reflecting and discovering how things can be done better. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) through a US university, Laura is bringing this mindset into her work at ASH, where she is helping shape a shared vision of what effective teaching and learning looks like.

Chris Schlesselman teaches High School Physics and Computer Science at ASH. But after the school day is over and the classroom is put behind him, Chris turns to this long list of projects for the rest of the day.

Meet the 2026-2027 Student Senate Co-Presidents, Joseph and Sissi! Their responsibilities range from organizing events and gathering student feedback to presenting proposals to administration. But their role ultimately centers on making sure students have a meaningful say in the direction of the school by acting as the bridge between students and teachers.

Last Friday, the community gathered for the annual Ceremony of Hope and Remembrance, marking the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.
