Tuition and Fees

American School of The Hague is an independent, not-for-profit institution

All revenue is reinvested to enhance student learning and the overall educational experience. Tuition covers all regular day-to-day educational expenses, including laptop computers and core learning trips. Meals, extracurricular trips, and exam fees for Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate are not included.

Entry Fees 2026-2027  

Application Fee

€280

The application fee is a mandatory, non-refundable fee paid per child at the time of application to the school.

Pre-Kindergarten I and II Enrollment Fee

€2,500

This one-time fee is payable the first year a student is enrolled and is non-refundable. The fee is payable within 30 days of the enrollment decision.

Students who are re-enrolling at American School of The Hague are required to pay the difference between the enrollment fee that was paid for the school year of first enrollment and the enrollment fee for 2026-2027.

Kindergarten through Grade 12
Enrollment Fee

€7,115

This one-time fee is payable the first year a student is enrolled and is non-refundable. The fee is divided as follows: €2,500 payable within 30 days of the enrollment decision, and the remaining amount to be invoiced alongside tuition and capital fees.

Students who are re-enrolling at American School of The Hague are required to pay the difference between the enrollment fee that was paid for the school year of first enrollment and the enrollment fee for 2026-2027.

PAYMENT PROCEDURES

Full School Year Enrollment

Students enrolled between the first day of school and November 30 are considered full-year students.

  • First Installment 75% of tuition and 75% of the bus fee (if applicable), plus the full enrollment (if applicable) and capital fees, for all currently enrolled and newly enrolled students, due 30 days upon receipt of invoice.
     
  • Second Installment 25% of tuition and bus fee (if applicable) is due on January 1 for all students enrolled as of November 30.

Mid-Year Enrollment (December 1 - May 30)

  • December 1 - February 28
    75% of tuition, 75% of bus fee (if applicable), plus the full enrollment and capital fees, are due at the time of enrollment for students enrolling between December 1 and February 28.
     

  • March 1 - March 31
    60% of tuition, 60% of bus fee (if applicable), plus the full enrollment and capital fees, are due at the time of enrollment for students enrolling during March.
     

  • April 1 - April 30
    45% of tuition, 45% for bus fee (if applicable), plus the full enrollment and capital fees, are due at the time of enrollment for students enrolling during April.
     

  • May 1 - May 30
    30% of tuition and 30% of the bus fee (if applicable), plus the full enrollment and capital fees, are due at the time of enrollment for students enrolling during May.

All fees are due 30 days upon receipt of invoice.
Interest of 1.0% per month will be charged for late payments.

Placement at American School of The Hague cannot be guaranteed if payment terms are not met by the stated deadlines and no arrangements have been made with the Business Manager.

WITHDRAWALS

If a student withdraws before the end of Semester 1 (January 22, 2027), families are responsible for 75% of the annual tuition and bus fee (if applicable), as well the full enrollment (if applicable) and capital fees.

Withdrawals after Semester 1 are subject to the full annual tuition and bus fee (if applicable), as well as the full enrollment and capital fees.

Students leaving the school are required to clear all obligations before final records are forwarded to the next school or university. This includes text and library books and other school materials.
