After School Care

After school care at American School of The Hague (ASH) is provided by Croco Club, located next to the School camps at the spacious ABF facilities. To the staff at Croco Club, after school care means providing a caring and professional environment, supported by pedagogical school guidance and a love for looking after children. Croco Club offers your children an environment in which they can feel safe and secure, and of course, have lots of fun too.

Croco Club provides after school care for children aged 3 - 14, on school days Monday through Friday, beginning at school dismissal time and ending at 18:30. At the end of every school day, the children from the Main Campus are collected from the Upper Elementary School Atrium and walked over to Croco Club. Children from the ECC get picked up by bus. Teachers at the school are well informed of the students who attend Croco Club, and will make sure your child knows where to go once the school day is over, or walk them to the Atrium themselves. In case of the ECC, the teacher will bring your child to the Croco Club bus.

Due to the international clientele of American School of The Hague and the varieties of nationalities in the student body, the spoken language at the Croco Club is in English.

Many parents have varying working days or like to be more flexible in their choice of days regarding after school care. For this reason, Croco Club has set up Flexible Care. If you need your child to come one afternoon after school for example, this is now possible without a contract. 

The first time, you need to register at least 2 weeks before you need childcare. After that, you can apply even one day before you need childcare.

Registration does not mean you are guaranteed of a place. You will need to apply on each occasion you place your child(ren) to come to Croco Club. Your Child's place is confirmed only once you have received our confirmation.

The cost per hour for our Flexible Care hours is 10 Euros per hour.

Please note that Flexible Care can't be booked just for one hour. Instead, you can book for certain parts of the day (see table below) and the total amount of this specific time block will be charged regardless of the pick up time.

* The starting time of the after school care is one hour earlier than the ending time of classes at ASH. This is necessary to make all the preparations needed in the ABF building, to provide an appropriated after school care environment. 

** The starting time of the holiday care is half an hour earlier than the drop off time. This is necessary to make all the preparations needed in the ABF building, to provide an appropriated holiday care environment.
