What We Learned by Shadowing ASH Students

Recently, school leaders spent a day shadowing students to better understand what a typical day feels like through a student’s eyes. Moving with them from class to class, through transitions and routines, gave a firsthand look at what supports learning well and where small changes could make the experience even better

The Leadership Team is committed to providing an outstanding, holistic learning experience for every ASH student and their family. Representing key areas of school programming and operations, they balance mission-driven strategic planning with day-to-day activities to ensure the ASH community remains strong today and into the future. The Director oversees daily operations and reports to the all-volunteer Board of Trustees.

The Board of Trustees is the governing body of American School of The Hague, responsible for safeguarding the school’s long-term educational and financial health. Its primary objective is to ensure that ASH successfully fulfills its mission and vision.

The Board focuses on strategic and long-term matters while entrusting the Director with the day-to-day leadership and management of the school.

All students are encouraged to find their voice and take ownership of their learning, with ample leadership opportunities. From Student Ambassadors supporting new students, to the Middle School Student Voice Initiative, and the High School Student Senate, students develop leadership skills and advocate for their interests across the school.
