Special Film Screenings for Parents and Babies Every Friday Afternoon at the Filmhuis and Sunday Morning at Pathé Scheveningen
Many young parents are film lovers, and before their bundle of joy arrived, they frequently visited the cinema. We all know that going to see a film becomes much more difficult with a baby, as parents are dependent on finding a sitter. The Norwegian filmmaker Ane Ose, mother of three children, found this a bitter pill to swallow, and is now arranging special film mornings and afternoons for parents with a baby under the name Cinemum. After great success in Amsterdam, these special screening will now come to The Hague. The lights will be kept on, the volume will be turned down and members of the audience get two tickets for the price of one. Filmhuis Den Haag and Pathé Scheveningen are enthusiastic partners with Cinemum, with The Filmhuis offering a special parent-baby screening every Friday afternoon at 13:00, and Pathé Scheveningen every Sunday morning at 11:00. The movie theatre will be specially adapted for this purpose. One ticket will entitle you to two seats, the lights will be kept on dim (rather than totally out) so that you can still find dummies and toys, the volume will not be as loud and there will be a space provided to feed and change your child. More information is available at www.cinemum.nl, or at The Filmhuis and Pathe websites. |
