I congratulate all of the rich talent that was exhibited on stage at “A Night to Remember”. Thanks to CAS students for their excellent organization and execution of the event. A large sum of money was raised for worthwhile charities, but seeing the satisfaction that the CAS students felt for a job well done and plaudits the singers, dancers and musicians received, was a wonderful bonus for all who attended.
While reminding everybody that academic focus is imperative for all students, I congratulate those who are involved in co-curricular activities and encourage those who have yet to take the plunge to explore the breadth of activities currently taking place here at the ASH High School: basketball and swimming dominate our sports season; dance and cheerleading are both very active; rehearsals for the spring play have commenced and our musical ensembles and honor choir and band students continue to perform; the MUN delegation and administrative staff completed a successful week at THIMUN in The Hague; the service trips heading to Tanzania and India in February continue to fund raise and prepare; our Math Teams, Speech and Debate, SustainASH and Prom Committee continue to work hard; the RPG club meets every Friday in the library; the Student Senate is busy preparing for the Winter Ball; the NHS continue to serve the community and the Student Ambassador program for 2011-12 is underway.
I take this opportunity to wish you well and a Happy 2011.
