This year all of the Grade 6 students and their Advisory teachers are working with elementary school students on a Service Learning project to promote literacy. The 6th graders visit the Elementary School students for twenty minutes each week during Advisory time. The 6th graders participated in training to prepare for this service learning time, and are rediscovering the joy of picture books. The younger students look forward to the time they spend with their Middle School buddies each week and the 6th grade students are excited about the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others right here in our own community.
