The APID challenges a student to display exceptional achievement on AP Exams across several disciplines. The APID is available to students attending high schools outside the United States. The APID is not a substitute for a high school diploma, but rather provides additional certification of outstanding academic excellence.

The Advanced Placement International Diploma consists of 5 courses

• Two different Languages (English & World Languages)

• One AP course with a global perspective (e.g. Human Geography)

• One Math or Science course

• One other course from any content area except English and World Languages
