What is accreditation?
Accreditation is a voluntary method of quality assurance used by American universities and schools for more than 100 years. Accreditation ensures that the school meets high quality educational standards, implements a continuous improvement process, and engages in quality assurance through internal and external review. Accredited schools such as ours demand rigor, use data to make informed decisions, seek continuous improvement, and welcome the constructive feedback of peers.
 
Why is accreditation important?
School accreditation not only verifies the quality of the education we provide, it also encourages continuous improvement.

In particular:
  • The accreditation process examines the entire school - its philosophy and goals, its community, its programs and services, the facilities and financial stability.
  • The process of accreditation encourages excellence and ongoing improvement. It challenges us to reassess our Mission and Vision, and to review the specific objectives we have for fulfilling our goals.
  • The information gathered during the accreditation process serves as a sound basis for school improvement, strategic planning, restructuring, and staff development, and allows us to set appropriate priorities.
  • Accreditation provides a way to manage change through regular assessment, planning, implementation, and reassessment.
